Again sport and solidarity go hand in hand, the proof is the second edition of solidarity in favor Trail Foundation San Pedro Store Asylum, which will take place on Sunday, April 3 association.
This athletic event will cover 10,700 meters with a positive slope of 530 meters.
The Trail will start from Sanchez Mecaen Avenue neighborhood Lo Campano and through the streets of ascent to Calvary and Mount San Julian.
Runners will enjoy spectacular views of the harbor and the castles of Fajardo, Galeras, Atalaya and Roldan, as a backdrop.
Parallel to the race of adults will develop the Mini Trail for Children and cadet categories that cover a distance of 3,600 meters.
The Palace Hall, hosted today, Monday, March 28, the presentation of this sporting event that has been made by the Councillor for Sports, Ricardo Segado;
the representative of the Asylum Shop Foundation of San Pedro, Eugenio García;
the Vice Chancellor of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, Francisco Martinez;
as well as one of the organizer of the event, Luis Alfonso Gudino.
This solidarity Trail is an initiative of the Foundation of San Pedro Store Asylum in collaboration of the City of Cartagena, the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, and the trekker city center.
The mayor of Sports, Ricardo Segado, stressed that this second edition coincides with the 120th anniversary of the foundation and is a good opportunity to publicize its headquarters and projects carried out by promoting integration and social integration neighborhood of Lo Campano through healthy activities in their environment.
In addition, Ricardo Segado commented that the Department of Sports will the logistical and infrastructure needed to develop test support.
Asylum Shop Foundation of San Pedro is a social organization that has been working since 1894, from its training center located in the neighborhood of Lo Campano where they develop various social projects for people at risk of social exclusion.
These projects offer courses for the unemployed, guidance for employment and socio-occupational workshop called Hands Vivas where handicrafts are made.
They also work in an international project in Burkina Faso with sick HIV virus;
as well as Torre Nazareth Home, a shelter for people with HIV at risk of social exclusion.
When the test Trail participants can enjoy a party at the premises of the foundation conpaella and live musical performances.
REGISTRATIONS
The race is open to 650 participants, who can register from Monday until next Friday, April 1.

The numbers worn by adults will cost 10 euros and 5 euros for children.
Bibs can be picked up next Saturday, April 2, in the deAutomenor facilities, one of the sponsors of the race.
