The Federation of Associations and Centres for the Elderly in Cartagena and Shire, represented by its president, Maria Beteta, and the Professional Association of Podiatrists of the Region of Murcia, represented by its vice president, Francisco Diego Barranco, signed on 15 March, a collaboration agreement in order to bring resources and facilitate socio-sanitary type for a higher quality of life of older, borrowed in their environment and qualified professionals for that year.
The agreement has a duration of one year, may be extended, and will mean greater economic benefits for partners while greater closeness of service.
Attention will be paid generally in consultations professionals or in some social centers for the elderly, provided they have adequate space for it and have the proper registration in the Register of Health Resources of the Region Murcia.
The City of Cartagena act as an intermediary of the collaboration agreement, establishing a monitoring committee.
The signing of the Convention was also attended by the Councillor for Social Services, Carmen Martin, the coordinator of Social Services, Damián Pérez, municipal officers and members of the Board of the Federation of Clubs.
