More than 800 people have placed their vote in the first two hours of election day to elect a new Rector and the Faculty of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT).
According to preliminary data provided by the Electoral Board, at 12:00 pm, the polling station with the highest participation is located at the rectory, where voting Personnel Administration and Services, with 40% of voters;
followed by the table of the University Center of Defense (CUD), which voted 22% of voters, and the table of the School of Telecommunications, the center on who teach the two candidates for Rector, which records a share 20%.
The president of the Electoral Board, Alfredo Palop, praised "the normality with which is developing the election day."
The nine polling stations have been set up at 10:00 without incident and will close at 18:00 pm, except the table of the CUD, which closes at 14:50 hours.
Of the total of 6,665 persons eligible to vote, 318 belong to group A, consisting of doctors, teachers with permanent links to the University;
293 Group B, made up the rest of Teachers Researcher;
5,640 to group C, and 414 students of the D group, composed of members of Administration and Services, according to data provided by the Electoral Board.
