The awards ceremony of the Floral Games Palma put the finishing end to the XLIII edition of the literary contest which concerned this year about Solidarity.
The event took place at the Civic Center of La Palma last Saturday, March 12, and was attended by the mayor of Cartagena, Jose Lopez, who acted as a maintainer.
In his speech the mayor of Cartagena deepened and showed his personal vision of Patria, Faith and Love. A few words in which Lopez enthused staff, confirmed José Escribano, president of the cultural and sports center of Palma.
After the reading of the minutes, the jury presented the awards that were distributed in this way;
the poetry contest winner was Luis Garcia Perez with his work, lack of solidarity under the slogan: Do not look the other way received a prize of 1,300 euros and Natural Flower;
in the first category of young poetry prize Barbara Navarro Vera with his work, I know how you feel, received 300 euros and a diploma;
and finally, Laura Gomez winning lasegunda category with his work, dry leaves, Navarro received 600 euros and a diploma.
According to Jose Escribano, the organizers of this literary contest are beginning to prepare the details of the next edition of which, after the summer, the new leitmotif be known.
