The Auditorium and Conference Centre The Batel of Cartagena is hosting this weekend, until Sunday March 13th, the first edition of La Hormiga Hippy Market.
This is a project designed as a platform for designers, artists, artisans, creative and enterprising, in order to reach the public in a direct and attractive way, within a framework of leisure and entertainment.
In addition to nuclear to an entire sector, other activities include arts escénicascomo live music, live art, dance or microteatro, thus providing added value to the event.
The doors opened to the public yesterday afternoon, in a first day which was visited by Jose Lopez, mayor of Cartagena, and David Martinez, Councillor for Culture, Education and Equality.
They visited all guided by fair organizers, Ana Ruiz and Jaime de la Peña, and know first hand the artists involved and made a purchase.
In this first edition, it has awarded a also starring fine arts paper, creating a large group exhibition which form part of both artists begin to open space, such as those with a proven track record, providing some work to support an event these features which, in short, art is the common denominator.
Some of the artists participating in the exhibition are Dora Catarineu, Angel Haro, Tomy Ceballos, Jorge Fin, Fernando Saenz Elorrieta, Diego English, Kuki Keller, Marisa Jimenez, Ana Belmonte, Pious La Torre, Piluca Coello, Domingo LLOR, Mar Lajarín, Alvaro Peña, Cristina Marcos Amoros or Ayuso.
The proposed support and cooperation of the City of Cartagena through the Department of Culture and Commerce, has been a key factor to realize this first edition of La Hormiga Hippy Market, an event that will mean for this group great creative a viable alternative to present their work and promote themselves.
