Regarding the statement released yesterday by the Royal and Illustrious Brotherhood of Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno (Makos) expressing his gratitude to Mr. José López Martínez, Mayor of Cartagena, for his efforts to recover the performance of the local police with wardrobe gala for the Procession of the Holy Burial of Christ on the night of Friday, popularly known as "dusters";
what reports elegance and poise of the penitential representation, with greater solemnity and respect that procession.
In this regard, the municipal government thanks the Marraja Brotherhood backing these words represent the work that the mayor, Jose Lopez, and the rest of the local executive, being made to contribute to the aggrandizement, even more, of the Holy Week Cartagena, declared of International Tourist Interest.
The recovery of dusters is another example of the effort of the municipal government and its mayor to further enhance the Easter Cartagena, with respect to identity and idiosyncrasies that make the Cartagena, a Holy Week of unique character motif all Cartagena pride.
