The head of the Fire and Civil Protection, Francisco Gómez Avalos, and the coordinator of Civil Protection of the City of Cartagena, Martin Toledo Soto, held on Saturday a meeting with the group of young people who have shown their intention to join the Association of Civil Protection volunteers of the City of Cartagena.
Aspiring to become Civil Defence volunteers were briefed on the Regulation of the Municipal Association of Volunteers of Civil Protection of the City of Cartagena, frame from which governs its scope.
Similarly, young people knew the content of the municipal training plan must meet to perform their work as volunteers of Civil Protection of the City of Cartagena, consisting of: basic civil protection module;
communications course;
course in emergency first responder;
course of lifeguards on beaches;
course of external-DESA semi-automatic defibrillator;
refresher course rescuer specialist aquatic beaches and first aid, as well as jet skis management or rescue craft.
All these training activities are organized from the School of Public Safety of the City of Cartagena and Civil Protection.
