The City of Cartagena, through the Department of Office Transparency Portal and directed by María José Soler, participated last Thursday, the day Public transparency in the Region of Murcia.

The meeting 's objective was to promote the general principles of action on transparency in the context of current legislation; promote awareness of the obligations and requirements for transparency affecting local government, promoting the effectiveness and efficiency of actions and promote proposals for improving transparency in the management of the local administration.
Participants included representatives of the municipalities in the region with responsibilities related to public transparency. The Region chose the municipality of Cartagena to expose the implementation of transparency in the municipalities.
Since the regional government was elected to the City of Cartagena to be the protagonist of one of the papers of the day, valuing the work from the Department of Maria Jose Soler as a model and a regional reference in the process of integration of policies of transparency in care public.
TRANSPARENCY PORTAL OF THE CITY OF CARTAGENA
On December 3, Maria Jose Soler presented the Transparency Portal, which can be accessed through the municipal website.
This channel about administration to citizens, facilitating access to municipal information, integrated into a global strategy that includes open government transparency, citizen participation and open data, the councilor explained in the presentation.
The Transparency Portal is structured in six basic areas: City Government (institutional information); Organization City and Regulations (contains precise information about the human resources area, citing bodies and municipal companies whose municipal participation exceeds 50% as well as information of legal relevance at the municipal level); clear accounts (refers to the economic area, information on the amount of income and expenses, municipal contracts, list of municipal real estate); Sustainable City (information of interest in urban planning, infrastructure and sustainable development) public participation (neighborhood boards, associations, social networks and you), and Cartagena in figures (information on population figures, municipal statistics, electoral process, etc.).
