Today, they are 7,000 total registered in the Municipal Census Companion Animal City of Cartagena, 515 of them potentially dangerous, and it is important that people know that this is not something optional, but a legal obligation.
In order to raise awareness of this responsibility owners about pet ownership, the Department of Greater Quality of Life and Environment has launched a campaign that will last until March 22 and which aims to promote animal welfare.
This campaign highlights the need to register in the census of the town dogs, cats and ferrets;
the latter, though less frequent, are included because of also be a focus of anger.
According to the Municipal Ordinance on Protection and Possession of Pets in Articles 9 and 10, and the Order of the Autonomous Community of control and eradication of rabies from June 24, 2015, article 7, it is mandatory not only counted them but also identify them via microhip through your veterinarian.
During the campaign of responsible pet ownership is extended, you were presented with a hygienic picker to all those who come to CATAD to number their pets.
STEPS TO FOLLOW
Registration in the municipal census is free and is done by Shelter and Treatment of Domestic Animals (CATAD) located in Molinos Gallegos, s / n (next to impound vehicles).
Hours are Monday through Friday from 9.00 to 14.00, and in the afternoon from 16.00 to 18.30 h.
Saturday will be open during the morning, from 10.30 to 13.00.
