Councillor for Social Services City of Cartagena, Carmen Martin, and the coordinator of Social Services, Damián Pérez Olmos, now participate in the national meeting on cultural diversity of the Obra Social La Caixa Foundation, along with other 38 municipalities españoles.Durante meeting Councillor is taking stock of the work they have been carried out within the project Intercultural Community (ICI) by a dozen experts from Old Town and Station Sector to discuss the coexistence in the educational, health, commercial, sports field and participatory and social cohesion factors as knowledge of the different cultures living in the territory, the degree of social tolerance, respect for diversity and civic participation.

The team of experts Cepaim and the city of Cartagena Foundation evaluated the cultural intervention in schools and colleges in the area, health centers, trading network, parishes, UPCT and the network of local sports, among others .

This project is funded by the Social La Caixa.
