THE FILM

Memory of the Hands - Echoes of the pedagogical legacy of C. Freinet in Murcia, it is a hybrid documentary film concerning the revision of teaching methods developed by Celestin Freinet and experienced by a number of teachers in public schools in the Region of Murcia in the 1970s and 80s research arises from the university classroom and revises the testimony created a different way to teach in order to assess their validity at the current school.

The aim of the film story is to show that these techniques and methodologies remain valid through re-creation of experiences, memories and projections that combine animation and documentary material to generate a look into the past and an inspiration to the present.

Memory Hand draws on the experiences teachers Fuster Enrique Espinosa, Pedro Antonio Ríos, María Jesús Fernández Navarro, Juan Almagro Oruro, Antonio Galvan Olivares, Jesus Martinez Corbalan, Francisco Martinez Bastida, Aniceto López Serrano, Juan Perez and Mompeán Benigno Polo Costa.

Feature film produced by the University of Murcia, Multimedia Support Unit of Greater Technologies Applied Information and Communications (Attica) in collaboration with the Center for the Study of Education Report (CEME) and the Inter of STERM Teaching with Rain support JE Studios in post-production.
