The SEPE has reviewed the record of over a thousand people of different nationalities, both Spanish and foreign.
Of inspected, three of them were arrested for violating the Immigration Act and legal claims.
The National Police and the Public Employment Service (SEPE) have developed an intense joint service for the detection of illegal and improper payment of unemployment benefits.
Proceedings were initiated earlier this year, at the offices of SEPE, former INEM, several municipalities in the field of Cartagena, namely the towns of Torre Pacheco, San Javier and Cartagena, where the records of more than a thousand people were checked and Spanish other nationalities.
These inquiries resulted in the finding of people who had left the country, others who had usurped the identity of their fellow citizens, as well as absences for compulsory subpoenas, so after making the required and subsequent personal interviews, allowed the Service employment, detect and prevent fraud State exceeded 400,000 euros.
The beneficiaries of this aid are currently in the obligation to repay the amounts unduly paid or otherwise, denial of future benefits or benefits under the Social Security.
During inspections, three arrests of foreign nationals were performed, for violations of the Aliens Act or legal claims.
The service has been jointly conducted by officers of the Local Brigade Aliens and Border Police of the National Police of Cartagena and Public Service of State Employment of Cartagena, Torre Pacheco and San Javier.
