The Brotherhood of San Ginés de la Jara, which is commemorating the pattern Cartagena since 1677, has unveiled the titles of Brother of Honor and Cofrade of Honor for this year 2016.
This year the Brotherhood meets 99 years since its founding and the ninth anniversary of its revival.
The brotherhood of San Ginés de la Jara chooses D. Manuel Martínez Guillén and Sisters of the Poor and honor brother and brother of honor respectively.
The choice of the Sisters of the Poor was motivated by the solidarity that his organization carried out since its inception in our ancient city Cartagena.
In the case of Brother of Honor, D. Manuel Martínez Guillén, it has decided to give the award for the work carried out in front of his brother organization within the world based on the historical background to join the Brotherhood of San Ginés of Jara and and Real Brotherhood of the Holy Christ of Socorro, since the first big brother of the Brotherhood of San Ginés de la Jara, Luis Angosto Lapizburu was also brother of the Brotherhood of Socorro.
Big Brother of the Brotherhood of San Ginés de la Jara, Victor D. Javier Navarro Iñiguez came by the chaplain of the Brotherhood D. Lazaro Lopez Gomariz the homes of Brother of Honor and Cofrade of Honor to personally announce such appointments.
Next to the appointment were presented with a traditional capacico with fruits of the field of Cartagena.
These appointments are effective in events commemorating the foundation of the Brotherhood, and to be held in the parish of San Ginés de la Jara at the end of next April.
