The IV Manga and Japanese culture of Cartagena, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Spokesperson, the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) and the city of Cartagena, will take place on 23 and 24 April at the School of Engineering Industrial UPCT.
This year, organizers have increased the number of activities to 200 and expect 8,000 people visit the show.
In the last edition, the Hall received nearly 7,000 people, 30 exhibiting companies and ten associations.
He also attended by prominent artists and national authors.
The Minister of Culture and Spokesperson, Noelia Arroyo, together with the Councillor for Culture of Cartagena, Ricardo Segado, and the Vice Chancellor for Student and University Extension UPCT, Francisco Martínez, today introduced the new edition of Manga with the director and coordinator 'Cartagena rolls up his' Antonio Alvarez and Juan Alvarez.
Noelia Arroyo congratulated the organizers for "the great work done to consolidate Manga Cartagena and make it a national benchmark in its category."
This success achieved "significantly increased the number of activities, in particular, it aimed to spread the Japanese culture among the society through workshops on writing, Japanese cuisine and traditions," he added.
If last year they organized around 150 events in its fourth year the number will increase to over 200. Will activities covering a wide range of manga universe and Japanese culture such as lectures, exhibitions, concerts, competitions 'cosplay' tournaments in the area of ​​video games and numerous workshops.
Also this year will again go through the exhibition invited authors and an exhibition area and sale with 30 commercial, several of them in the region will enable exhibitors.

Competition for poster
Among the pre-celebration of IV Manga and Japanese culture of Cartagena activities, it has organized the contest to select the poster for the edition of 2017. The deadline for submitting works ends on April 14.
The first prize is worth 200 euros in cash and 100 euros in paint material.
The second and third prizes will be cash and a lot of manga comics.
The awards ceremony will take place on Saturday April 23 at the Hall and several of the works selected by the jury will be exhibited on the premises.
