The mayor, Jose Lopez, has received this morning the director of the Institute of Military History and Culture, Major General Jose Carlos de la Fuente Chacon, who has come accompanied by the deputy director, Antonio Nadal Pérez.
The head of the Military Institute wanted to thank the mayor and the city of Cartagena received affection, building to invite all Cartagena to attend the Artillery Museum to discover the value of the city.
De la Fuente has highlighted research being carried out volunteers, taking information simancas (Salamanca) to rebuild historically Cartagena, military and mapping planes.
The director pointed out the interest of the museum not only for engineers, gunners or scientists, but also for architects h istoriadores or engaged in the world of historical research because they have a lot to do in this museum.
This meeting is part of the first visit by the general to the Military Museum of Cartagena, in the old Artillery.
