The Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) participates this week at the X International Congress on Higher Education, held in Havana, with a presentation on its potential as a school of Spanish language for foreigners.
UPCT be one of the few Spanish universities represented in the conclave, to be attended by President of the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRUE), Second Píriz, representatives of the French and German rectors and heads of student mobility programs between Europe and Latin America.
"Universities around the world want to take advantage of the new geopolitical context and Cuba more open to foreign companies and public entities and UPCT has started before most efforts and contacts," said the Vice Chancellor for Internationalisation, José Manuel Ferrández.
The Polytechnic University of Cartagena last signed a collaboration agreement with the University of Havana and is studying the possibility of establishing an office in Havana.
Congress being held this week in Cuba is one of the most important in university internationalization and address issues such as innovation and development, social responsibility and cooperation.
