This summer, the National Folklore Festival of La Palma celebrates the opening of its music programming and Fresco Street, which will be Saturday July 3 and will feature the performance of the musical group Orchestra at the Plaza de la Casa Folklore.
This eighteenth edition also highlights the performance of Nuevo Mester de Juglaría, besides the participation of folk groups from Albacete, Ciudad Real, Huesca and of course the hosts, La Palma, which will offer the traditional music of their land.
Cultural activities will focus on the history of date palm and the popular culture of southeastern Spain, the cultivation and use of it.

Also, specialists will illustrate this with a talk about growing and harvesting of the palm.
Finally, children's workshops will focus on the environment in which to perform a biological gimkana, and learn about perfumes and essences.
All activities will be free admission.
