The City of Cartagena, through the dealership Lhicarsa cleaning service, for the first time has launched a specific campaign to remove the gum stuck to the floor in pedestrian streets and squares.
The campaign began last Monday, June 28, and until Thursday, had already left about twelve kilos of waste, primarily in the calle Mayor and Puerta de Murcia, where the largest number of these residues.
As explained Councillor for Infrastructure and Services, José Vicente Albaladejo, the gum stuck to the view very dirty streets and after having tried various mechanical and chemical methods, has finally opted for the more simple and effective: the manual.

The performance will last until July 30 and will cover the streets of Caramel, Sagasta, Puerta de Murcia, Air, Honda, Mayor, San Miguel, San Fernando, Santa Florentina, Canyon, San Miguel, Campos, Still Life, Escorial, Plaza José Maria Artes, Plaza del Ayuntamiento, Plaza del Rey, Heroes of Cavite, Juan XXIII, San Francisco and Caballero.
