The Governing Council has approved a total of 1,322,957 euros to improve road safety in the county council of La Palma de Cartagena, on highways and RM RM-F35-F36, which communicate with the municipality of Cartagena and San Javier Torre Pacheco, respectively.
Through this action, is building two new roundabouts that will mean the elimination of two separate sections of concentration of accidents in the 14.5 kilometers of MR-F35 and 4.7 for MRI-F36.
The two roundabouts will have an external diameter of 46 meters, with a two-lane road four feet shoulder width and interior and exterior of a meter.
The work was completed with the installation of appropriate signage, both vertically and horizontally, and the marking required in addition to the lighting of both infrastructures.
This action is framed within the Road Safety Program of the Ministry of Public Works, will benefit drivers in more than ten million journeys are recorded by the two roads each year, of which about 100,000 are for heavy vehicles, because to intensive agricultural and industrial area.
