The Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, has signed this morning at the Palacio de San Esteban the agreement of accession to the Plan Works in Barrios, provincial and districts of the Autonomous Community of Murcia.
The agreement was signed by the president, Ramón Luis Vacárcel, and the mayors of other municipalities with large population, Murcia, Lorca and Molina de Segura.
In the case of Cartagena and provincial Neighborhood Plan 2010-2011, covers a total of 33 projects, which will involve an investment of 3.5 billion euros.
As the mayor explained the selection of works has been agreed by the Department of Decentralization with various neighborhood associations, according to the needs that have been raising their representatives to the Council.
In general terms will mean improvements throughout the municipality in terms of urban services (sidewalks and sewers), public lighting, local adaptation of social, sports courts construction and renovation of public spaces, among other actions.
