David Zaplana and Ana Ballabriga, author of After the Cartagena Sun have published his second novel. Morbo Gothic, framed within the genre of detective novel, tells the story of Nicole, a psychologist based in Lisbon from Madrid, who helps her husband in investigation of a murderer of women.
The novel delves into relationships and the importance of communication.
The book, which has taken more than two years of work and several trips to the capital Lusa, has been published by Editions Alfaqueque within its fiction collection Castellana.
David Zaplana (Cartagena, 1975) graduated as a Senior Telecommunications Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Valencia.
He has won several literary prizes among which the Erotic Story Competition IV of the Youth Council of the City of Cartagena, with the story The Gathering.
Ana Ballabriga (Candasnos (Huesca), 1977) graduated in Psychology at the University of Valencia.
With her story The Muse won the award in Erotic Story Contest VI of the Youth Council of the City of Cartagena.
She is coauthor of the book compilation of the First Meeting Candasnino Poetic (1998) and the book Proverbs candasninos (1994), both published by the Cultural Association of Film Candasnos.
Published his first novel after the sun of Cartagena in 2007.
The story revolves around the search for an archeological and fully developed plot in the city of Cartagena.
This project was supported from the Youth Council in its call for Young Building Projects.
Naughty Gothic goes on sale June 15.
