| Thirteen students from the University of Murcia, UCAM and Miguel Hernández de Elche do their academic internships at the Security Park | Thirteen criminology students, seven from the University of Murcia and four from UCAM and one from a master's degree from the Miguel Hernández University of Elche, will complete their training as criminologists in the Local Police of Cartagena.
The Councilor for Security, Juan Pedro Torralba, welcomed the students on Monday, along with the Chief Commissioner of the Local Police, Pedro Moreno. This training is within the internship period assigned to students to develop their academic skills within the professional field.
Students will be able to learn about the daily work carried out by the Local Police in the field of prevention and security, in specific units such as Traffic Judicial Police, Family Protection, Social Networks and New Technologies, ESPAC or room 092. They will also have the opportunity to complete this training with other departments and projects of the Cartagena City Council that work daily for prevention, such as Civil Protection, Addiction Plan, Plan for the elderly, the plan for pedestrians and homeless people as well as other entities.

These practices, which are coordinated by the City Council's training department, will be tutored by the Local Police agent and Criminologist Victor Javier Navarro Iñíguez, who has extensive international experience in the field of criminology where, in addition to being a tutor of the UNED from Cartagena, he has participated in international conferences and collaborated in books and magazines of relevant interest.
