| The document, which has already been sent to the opposition for their accession, also includes raising to the national Executive the request that the connection with the ZAL of Los Camachos | The Government team has prepared a proposal for an institutional declaration in which it agrees to raise to the central government the need for administrative and technical procedures to be streamlined as much as possible so that the diversion of the railway line as it passes through the town of Alums is a reality as soon as possible, as well as the construction of the necessary connection with the future ZAL of Cartagena. The document has already been sent to the rest of the opposition groups to confirm their adherence to this claim and also includes the requests that have been made to the national Executive previously, both by residents and by the Cartagena City Council itself. In this sense, the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, recalled that "for years we have been demanding the diversion of the rail freight line that runs through the town, with the consequent risk to the safety of the neighbors" and recalled that a platform was created citizen "who collected more than a thousand signatures, in a town with just over 2,500 inhabitants, so that this measure could be carried out as quickly as possible." The local government considers it essential that "the central government streamline as much as possible the technical and administrative procedures planned so that the diversion becomes a reality as soon as possible." On the other hand, the municipal Plenary also requests that work be speeded up to build a rail connection for the freight line that connects Madrid with the Escombreras Valley, with the future Logistics Action Area (ZAL) of Los Camachos and with the Corridor Mediterranean, thus guaranteeing the best connection between the Port and the Cartagena industry with the rest of the country and the European Union.
