| José López: "The social and economic impact generated by the installation forces the administrations to measure up" | The spokesmen for the MC Cartagena municipal group, José López and Jesús Giménez, have traveled to the Cartagena speed circuit, an enclave that in recent weeks has monopolized one of the main current affairs in the sports field.
Our formation exchanged impressions with the presidency of the circuit to analyze the current situation of the track and the actions to be carried out.
The Cartagena spokesman, José López, announced this morning the content of the meeting.
"We met to know, first-hand, the needs that this installation requires and also in line with what was known weeks ago in relation to issues to be solved that guarantee the activity carried out there, making it compatible with its environment".
He then specified that "the most urgent thing, something typical of this type of infrastructure, is the issue of noise pollution it generates.
We verify with satisfaction that those responsible for the route have been working on the matter with a specialized company, work of which a report will be issued to detail the weaknesses of the circuit in this regard and the measures to be taken to correct them ".
After knowing this point in a concrete way, in López's opinion, "it will be time to demand the support of the local and regional administrations to help with the management of the circuit.
They should do so from the institutional responsibility of contributing to an activity that brings benefits to the throughout the Region in numerous sectors ".
Reasons to support the Speed ??Circuit To conclude, the MC Cartagena leader has defended that "the Speed ??Circuit is a strategic facility for the Region and the Region, adding value to concepts that are key in our future such as sports tourism and the seasonal adjustment of tourism that has its reflection in hospitality and commerce.
In addition, it generates the need and demand for other infrastructures and guarantees a positive impact on the urban regeneration of the municipality.
Therefore, from MC we defend that the closure of the Circuit is not an option.
