The Cartagena City Council has launched an information and dissemination campaign to make the self-employed, SMEs and entrepreneurs aware of the different aids and measures that it has implemented to support them in facing the health and economic crisis generated by COVID 19 and how the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, promised during the meeting she held with the presidents of the Confederation of Business Organizations (COEC) and the Association of Hoteliers of Cartagena (Hostecar), Ana Correa and Juan José López. The campaign, whose motto is' We open aid.
Do not stay out 'begins today and will be disseminated through the media, social networks and billboards. “We have detected that many businessmen do not request aid to which they are entitled, such as payment of the water and garbage bill during the time in which they are forced to remain closed.
For this reason, we want to inform you of the aid that we have implemented and that the Hospitality Office is available to them, where they are offered support, documentation and help in the processing, ”said the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón. Among other aids, the City Council has decreed the suspension of municipal fees for the occupation of public roads throughout 2020 and 2021, for the license to open a new business or for the transfer of business, among others.
Likewise, the premises that are forced to remain closed due to the health crisis, can benefit from the payment of the water and sewage bills, as well as the garbage collection. The campaign will be carried out in the media, social networks and billboards, with the aim of reaching the largest possible number of entrepreneurs, freelancers and SMEs. In addition, they are informed of the telephone number where they can request help, that of the Hospitality Office: 968065400.
