| The Local Government Board receives 306,000 euros from the Ministry of Families and Social Policy , destined to cover basic needs and to support family and work conciliation | The City Council of Cartagena has received the subsidy granted by the Council of Women, Equality, LGTBI, Families and Social Policy, for an amount of 306,428.31 euros and by the direct concession procedure, to continue with the development of actions aimed at meeting the basic needs of the family, to support family and work conciliation, and projects for intervention services and family support. The amount awarded in the grant will allow the continuity of the programs and staff subsidized in the previous year, dedicated to providing financial and personnel support to families in need. The grant is intended for three specific projects: one of â € ˜Aid of an extraordinary nature to cover basic needsâ € ™, for an amount of 93,966 euros, intended to cover rental, food or coverage of basic housing needs, with which 92 families from Cartagena will benefit. Another second project, under the title â € ˜Project of socio-therapeutic care for families with minorsâ € ™, endowed with 135,840 euros, which complements the actions carried out by the Family and Coexistence Programs of the Social Services Centers, and that provides personal, psychosocial and educational, domestic and technical care or care, to families and people with difficulties to seek their physical, social and psychological well-being .

Actions that will make it possible to pay for part of, for example, dental visits or the placement of prostheses and glasses for minors.

With this program, 647 minors in the municipality will be reached. A third project, called â € ˜Learn while playingâ € ™, aims to be a space for relationships and fun for children, which in turn allows families in the process of social and labor insertion, with children to position, cover needs related to the reconciliation of family and work life, favoring access to the labor market.

This program is endowed with 76,621 euros, and will benefit 50 minors between 6 and 11 years old. The acceptance of said subsidy in the Local Government Board this Wednesday is the step prior to the corresponding generation of credit in the municipal budget.
