| The agreement will be valid for three years and will allow greater control over their costs | The unions CCOO, UGT, CSIF and SIME with a presence in the City of Cartagena have supported the proposal of the local government for the distribution of the extraordinary services of the Special Dedication Regime (RED) for Firefighters and Brigades municipalities, and that will be in effect until the end of 2023. The agreement, which will be approved by the local Government Board, will allow meeting the needs of Firefighters and Brigades with greater control of their costs, thanks to the adaptation of the devices to the real needs of the services, set with technical criteria. In the case of Firefighters, the agreement has been closed in 26 locations and 180 hours minimum for all those who decide to join the Special Availability Regime (RED); In the case of the Brigades, which also include the staff of the Sports Council, the agreement has been closed in a minimum of 120 hours. The Councilor for Finance and Personnel, Esperanza Nieto, has defended that the agreement â € œ will allow us to get closer to the real needs of the services that the workers of the municipal brigades and the fire service have to provide citizens.
This agreement will be maintained during the legislature, which means stability and security for all, and can be adapted to new needs as long as there is technical justification and financial authorization. The councilor recalled that the economic circumstances make it necessary to be especially rigorous in the management of personnel and thanked the union for the willingness to unblock. The municipal government established the objective of this legislature to reach a new agreement with the unions that would allow services to be adjusted to real needs, lower costs and avoid overloading employees who have to work long hours.
