From the Los Dolores Campus this competition will be organized on February 26th for students of Higher FP and Baccalaureate, who will be able to win a discount of 100, 60 and 40% of the cost of university tuition, along with other prizes, if they are among the top three in each category.
The Vice-Rectorate for Research of the San Antonio Catholic University, through its Scientific Culture and Innovation Unit, has planned to hold the IV Scientific Olympics of the UCAM Campus on February 26 in Cartagena, which for the second consecutive year will be held virtually.
In this edition, both the prizes and the categories in which the Baccalaureate and Higher Professional Education students can compete are increased.
Specifically, the interested parties will not only be able to enroll in the Nursing and Physical Activity and Sports Sciences modalities, but this year Physiotherapy will be incorporated.
They will have to do it before February 25 online.
In each of these categories, whoever achieves the first prize will obtain 100% of the cost of tuition for the first year of the Degree corresponding to the chosen modality and a tablet.
Those who win a second prize will receive a scholarship of 60% of the tuition and a smartwatch, and the participants who win the third prize will receive 40% of the tuition and some music headphones.
For the granting of these awards it will be necessary to achieve, at least, a score of 8, 7�5 and 7, respectively, in the tests.
Estrella N�à ± ez, Vice-Rector for Research at UCAM, highlights that "this event will consist of online tests, which aim to reward the excellence of young students in the Region of Murcia , in addition to awakening in them scientific vocations ".
The UCAM Scientific Culture and Innovation Unit promotes this initiative together with the S�neca Foundation, and with the collaboration of the City of Cartagena, with the aim of spreading the importance of science in the current society, promote the development of scientific and technological capacities and identify scientific talents in students, evaluate the knowledge of students on the skills and basic competencies related to the different areas of knowledge and contribute to support talent and scientific initiative among youth.
