| These units located in the Security Park, La Azoh�a, Pozo Estrecho, Los Dolores, Plaza de la Merced, El Algar and Cabo de Palos are cleaned and disinfected regularly to ensure the health safety of agents and neighbors | The Fire Extinguishing, Rescue and Civil Protection Service has intensified the cleaning and disinfection work of the six Local Police barracks located in La Azoh�a, Pozo Estrecho, Los Dolores, Plaza de la Merced, El Algar and Cabo de Palos, as well as the main barracks located in the Security Park. This service, which has been carried out on a regular basis since April and has been maintained throughout the pandemic, aims to ensure proper disinfection of police stations.

Due to the increase in positive cases in the municipality of Cartagena, these works have intensified in recent days to guarantee the safety of the agents. The Cartagena firefighters are being in charge of carrying out these works in the Local Police barracks, the main offices and the fire station, while the Lhicarsa company completes this service in the parking areas. Cleaning and disinfection tasks include flushing the exterior areas with nebulized disinfectant solution and, indoors, disinfection on foot, with backpacks and nebulizers attached to the pressurized air bottles of the respiratory equipment.

In this way, inside, common areas have been disinfected, spraying walls, floors and furniture, toilets, lockers and changing rooms. In addition, vehicles are being disinfected with ozone treatment on a regular basis and police cars are provided with security equipment so that agents have hydroalcoholic gel and masks at all times. â € œPolice units are cleaned and disinfected daily by the cleaning service, but we have considered a more intense disinfection necessary, both in the exterior and interior areas of the premises, to guarantee the sanitary security of our agents and the citizens who travel to them for any kind of need, â € ?? explained the councilor for Public Road and Citizen Security, Juan Pedro Torralba.
