The president of the Segura Hydrographic Confederation, Mario Urrea, accompanied by the deputy commissioner, Adolfo M rida, has held a working meeting with the Federation of the Association of Neighbors of Cartagena, represented by its Vice President Antonio Vidal, who was accompanied by Francisco Francoso, Amparo Moreno, Fina Serrano and José Antonio Ortiz. The Federation is interested in knowing what projects the Segura Hydrographic Confederation plans to carry out in the last section of the Albuj n Rambla. The president has informed him of the amount of surface water that flows through the Albuj n promenade and of the proposed solutions, a zero discharge collector project to which the Bah a Bella Neighbors Association has made allegations and the Station from the Rambla del Albuj n pumping station to the El Moj n desalination plant. The president has commented to them that discharges from the sewerage and sanitation system, whose competence is municipal and autonomous, are being prioritized by the respective administrations. Finally, they have also been informed that the main cause of flooding in the urban centers near the Mar Menor is the lack of foresight to reserve space at the mouths of the ramblas by municipal planning, so the general plans and subsidiary regulations must adapt the regulations subsequent to the 1976 Land Law. To conclude, the president explained the fight against flooding and sediment dragging, and specifically the projects that have been studied and the competence of each one of them, the increase in the hydraulic capacity of the agricultural drainage.

D-7 for an amount of 1,066,681.38 Euros that is pending technical approval and whose execution corresponds to the CHS and the project to increase the capacity of the D-7 by channeling runoff to the Rmbla de la Pescader a, whose execution has been divided into two sections, one would be executed by the CHS for an amount of 1,329,218.73 Euros and the other in an urban section would be executed by CARM with an amount of 6,490,454.43 Euros, for which it would be necessary to draw up the appropriate agreement. It is a set of actions, not all of which are the competence of MITECO but that the CHS undertook to study jointly with the UPCT, after the DANA of 2019, to achieve a comprehensive and integrated treatment of solutions, enhancing those based on the nature, which present greater financial viability with the recovery and resilience fund. To conclude, the president of the CHS has committed to the Federation of Neighborhood Associations of Cartagena that in the coming days, technicians from the Confederation will visit together with the members of the federation.
