| The only headquarters in Spain of the German multinational employs a dozen graduates of the Polit cnica de Cartagena and has awarded a scholarship to ten students | The rector of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, Beatriz Miguel, and the head of innovation and founder of the company AED Embedded Development, Manuel S ez, have signed an agreement today to sponsor the Aula AED at the School of Telecommunications n UPCT, in which the company will hold free training courses aimed at educating students in programming technologies and embedded systems used in the automotive industry. A dozen UPCT students have already enjoyed a first programming course in C language with five face-to-face sessions and access to online training resources and specialized programs with licenses paid for by the company.
Fifty students were interested in this specific training, for whose beneficiaries five scholarships will be convened in the next few days to carry out internships in the company, in addition to the two scholarships that also He is going to convene the AED-UPCT Chair, to facilitate the incorporation of the student body into the company.
After the success of the first activity, the parties are already planning the next courses that will take place throughout 2021. The German multinational AED Embedded opened its headquarters in Spain in 2019 and chose the Fuente lamo Technology Park as its location, where 45 people currently work.
Through its participation in the UPCT Chairs Network, it collaborates in the training, employability, specialization, technological development and capacity for innovation of students and graduates. Throughout 2020, a total of 10 AED - UPCT Chair scholarships have been financed.
All scholarships have been held at the company headquarters, facilitating the acquisition of other professional skills and a more immersive collaboration with AED engineers and clients.
Twelve graduates of the UPCT have already been hired by the company.
