Failure to comply with current sanitary measures due to COVID-19 has been the main reason for sanction. “This weekend we have again intensified the controls of the Local Police due to the new perimeter confinement that has been decreed, in which a total of 833 vehicles have been controlled”, declared the Councilor for Citizen Security and V a Public, Juan Pedro Torralba. “A total of 92 complaints have been filed: 28 for breaching the perimeter confinement, since since Saturday you cannot leave or enter the municipality, except for duly justified reasons; 30 for breaking the curfew, which has also been brought forward to 10 pm since Saturday, "Torralba specified. Regarding the use of the mask, the police have sanctioned 14 people for not using it or doing it improperly. On the other hand, there have also been 10 complaints for traveling in vehicles without a mask with people who are not living together; and 7 for smoking without maintaining a safe distance. Three other fines have been processed for other reasons: one, in a house in which a greater number of people who do not live together had gathered, and another two for installing a terrace without a license.
