| 234 requests from hoteliers have also been received for payment of water bills | The ADLE Hospitality Information Office, set up to alleviate the effects of the health crisis in this sector in Cartagena, has dealt with almost 250 inquiries and 234 requests for payment of the water bill. Thus, the technical specialists of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Local Development have attended, since the launch of this initiative, on November 12, a total of 248 queries related to information on the different grants that have published, both regionally and locally. In addition, a total of 44 referrals have been made to Social Services, in the cases of inquiries from workers from various hospitality establishments in the municipality. "With this service, in collaboration with the Social Services of the City Council, we have been able to better meet the needs of workers who, due to the current situation, and after the closure of the hotel in November to contain the progress of the pandemic in the Region, they were in a situation of vulnerability and needed help beyond the professional one, ”said the president of the ADLE, Irene Ruiz. In addition, the Cartagena City Council launched another aid that has received a very positive reception due to the health crisis, consisting of the payment of the water bill, a service for which 234 applications have already been received. Specifically, 148 of these requests have already been made and approved, which represents more than 63% of the requests.

Likewise, 50 are pending confirmation and 11 have been repeated, while only 25 have been denied. "We are very satisfied with the attention that is being paid to companies, entrepreneurs and workers in the sector, and we will continue to do so as long as they need us, supporting them in these difficult times due to the pandemic," he said.
