| The Councilor for Education has visited the works, before teachers and schoolchildren return to classrooms next week | The Councilor for Education, Irene Ruiz, has visited several educational centers in the municipality of Cartagena this Friday to check the end of the works that have been undertaken during the Christmas holidays. Thus, taking advantage of this non-school period, the Department of Education has carried out improvement and maintenance work in 14 educational centers.

In these last days of vacations the works are being completed to guarantee that next week, when schoolchildren and teachers return to the classrooms, they will find the works already finished. Specifically, access concreting works have been undertaken; stair arrangements; conditioning of patios, tracks and toilets; track and classroom painting; fencing repairs and replacements; and replacement of doors and windows, among other actions. The centers in which the works have been carried out, with a total investment of 206,354.23 euros, are: Los Alums, An bal, Beethoven, Jos Mar a Lapuerta, Luis Calandre, Mediterr neo, Nuestra Señora de los Dolores, Our Lady of the Sea, Primitiva L pez, San Francisco Javier, San Isidoro, San Isidoro and Santa Florentina, Asdr bal and Stella Maris. The Department of Education carries out daily maintenance actions in educational centers throughout the year, but the holiday periods are used to undertake the more complex works, as it is when the schools are idle. The councilor has visited several of these centers this Friday, such as the CEIP Los Alums, An bal, Nuestra Señora del Mar and Asdr bal, where she recalled that “throughout the Christmas period, actions have been carried out in several educational centers in our municipality, with which we have contributed to improve the conditions of the educational community ”.
