| A campaign promoted by the NGO MAESTROS MUNDI aims to acquire computer resources to help more than a hundred children in Cartagena affected by the digital divide | 95% of Maestros Mundi users cannot attend online classes due to lack of resources The curricular gap, unlearning of habits, lack of motivation, school absenteeism, addiction to new technologies, anxiety and depression are some of the consequences that the school digital divide is leaving The current situation caused by COVID-19 is affecting the vast majority of society, but the impact is much harder for families who are at risk of social exclusion, increasing inequalities and / or worsening poverty situations. Maestros Mundi has launched the campaign "Together, Let's Add Up + Education", whose objective is to help boys and girls with socio-educational disadvantage, with which it intends to compensate for the existing inequalities produced by the gap digital, so that users can follow the normal school rhythm with assistance to the NGO's computer room on the days they do not go to class. The objective of the campaign "Juntos Sumamos + Educaci n", promoted by Maestros Mundi for the users of Cartagena, is focused on obtaining sufficient financial resources for the implementation of the computer classroom of the NGO in the port city through the acquisition of furniture (tables and chairs), wall cladding to suppress humidity, glass repair, lighting and the acquisition of 10 Computers and 1 Projector.

The physical space where the NGO is located in Cartagena, given by the Daughters of Charity of San Vicente Pa l, is a place with more than 40 years that has many damages and has been abandoned for years. More than 100 boys and girls from Cartagena will be able to attend online classes from the Computer Room.

But this will only be possible with the collaboration of citizens, companies and institutions.

"Any donation, no matter how small, will contribute its grain of sand to reducing the digital divide and to the school and social integration of our users.

With just 1 euro you can do a lot," he says the director of Cartagena, Inmaculada Ruiz.

"Our goal is to raise 10,000 euros to make our Computer Classroom a reality," says Ruiz. 95% of the users of Maestros Mundi, boys and girls of Cartagena, cannot attend online classes due to lack of financial resources in their homes that allow them to have computer devices and internet at home, This has prevented them from being able to continue their normal class and learning rhythm on equal terms with the rest of their classmates.

In addition, this digital divide is having immediate consequences such as curricular lag, unlearning of habits and acquired routines, lack of motivation, school absenteeism, addiction to new technologies, anxiety and depression, among many others.

Thus, Inma Ruiz, director of Maestros Mundi requests "everyone's help, with very little (from 1 Euro) a lot can be done.
