Among the projects that the Cartagena Charity Association is carrying out this year on the occasion of Christmas, the apostolic initiative born in Cartagena in 2005, has once again been present in Peru.

The Cartagena team for Charity in Lima, led by coordinator Gandy Ibarg, approached the Little Sisters of the Poor settled in that country, to deliver a shipment containing diapers, toilet paper, a kit of personal hygiene, blankets, tea, panettone, etc., days later, the team of volunteers traveled to the Peruvian population of Coracora, where 30 poor elderly people received Christmas baskets with food and personal hygiene kits.

Also through the representative of Cartagena for Charity, Rosa Amelia Romero, the Mother Superior of the Little Sisters of the Poor in Lima, the Spanish Sister Ignacia de Mar a, received a financial donation with which help them with the needs they have in said Asylum where they live in extreme poverty. On the other hand, the Fundaci n Escribiendo Sonrisas en Venezuela, led by the young writers Reinaldo de Fern ndez and Isamar Baptista, brought to the La Peña Community of the indigenous Municipality of La Guajira, the help that Cartagena for the Caridad sent them, and in which 80 boys and girls received Christmas gifts, participated in a community lunch and food baskets were given to their mothers and representatives. Cartagena for Charity has also collaborated with the campaign “Drops of Solidarity in Cartagena, promoted by the association“ Luz Azul ”, with the Food Bank in Cartagena, Little Sisters of the Poor in Cartagena, as well as with the San Diego Parish and San Gines de la Jara Parish, providing food, hygiene products, Christmas sweets, etc.
