| The exhibition is a project by architects Fabiola Egea and Mar Melgarejo as a result of a workshop in Cartagena.

Think | Cartagena Piensa proposed in a workshop, held in October, that citizens enhance their creative capacity through the CREALAB * project and reflect on the challenges facing the port city.

Carried out by the architects Fabiola Egea and Mar Melgarejo, the conclusions of that workshop are now an exhibition that can be visited on the first floor of the Ram n Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center from this Friday, December 18, until the beginning of March. Among the challenges that CREALAB * proposes is that of knowing the city through the senses, understanding how to improve it and collectively propose innovative solutions to its problems.

And with this objective, the project carried out a first workshop where the participants worked on their creative potential, understood how an idea generation process works, and together they analyzed the city of Cartagena, proposing more than a hundred of innovative ideas to improve it through the methodology of design thinking. The results of this process can be seen in an exhibition, which is inserted in the natural routes of the center, which aims to make visible the results of the collective creative process of the 10 citizens around how to re / design their city to make it more livable, natural, humane and efficient. "Faced with regulated education that kills innate creativity, CREALAB * wants to be an alternative to extract and enhance it," says Fabiola Egea, co-creator of the collective Docencia: D, promoter of the project.

Together with Mar Melgarejo, they are looking for “ambassadors of creativity”, people who want to enhance their creative side and with it improve the world in which we live a little.

For this reason, all the participants of this project have worked in a workshop with a kit of creative tools that they can then continue to use in all areas of their personal and professional lives, to continue spreading their interest in solving problems and build different and innovative ideas. CREALAB * is a project promoted by the Cartagena City Council through its Cartagena Think program and is intended to train, empower and make visible the collective creative talent that we all have.
