| During the last three and a half months they have received theoretical and practical training to carry out complete urban maintenance tasks, such as garden cleaning, paint or masonry | After three and a half months of intense training, the 12 students participating in the Barrios ADLE program received their diplomas today, Friday December 18, from the councilor and president of the ADLE, Irene Ruiz.

This latest edition of the program, managed by the Agency for Local Development and Employment, began on September 1 and has provided these 12 unemployed people from the Lo Campano neighborhood with the realization of training activities occupational, both theoretical and practical, in the specialty of urban maintenance. This edition of Barrios ADLE has been carried out within the framework of the Participatory Local Development Pact, a project financed by the European Social Fund, through the Department of Social Policy. The mayor has been accompanied by the president of the Lo Campano Neighbors Association, Paqui Sastre, representative of the project's Local Action group, as well as technicians from ADLE and Social Services.

Irene Ruiz has congratulated the students for “the great work they have carried out in their neighborhood, as well as for the skills they have shown during the course.

With this workshop we intend that the students who finish the program are prepared to be able to carry out complete urban maintenance tasks, such as garden cleaning, painting or masonry, and to be able to join the world of work or continue to expand their training " . The students who have participated in the project have received both theoretical training in the classroom, since they have taught the modules of prevention of occupational hazards, modules of masonry, painting, installations; as a practice, in which each student has put into practice what they have learned in the theoretical classes, thus improving their chances of accessing the job market and contributing to the adaptation of the urban image of the neighborhood . The actions of small repairs of painting, masonry and gardening have been carried out in the Plaza Jos Palmis, Plaza del Local Social (Caponata), Plaza de la Libertad and de la Amistad in the Santiago neighborhood, as well as the arrangements and painted the wall of the bus stop, the repainting of all the railings and work benches in the neighborhood, in addition to the adaptation of the football field, which has consisted in the arrangement of the wall with a block of concrete, painted goals, bleachers and pitch. All the students who have participated in the program have received a scholarship per day of attendance to training, as well as orientation talks for working life, active job search and, once the program, the resumes of all of them will be incorporated into the database of the Placement Agency of the Agency for Local Development and Employment.
