In this complicated year, due to the difficult social and health situation caused by COVID-19, it has managed to stay active and follow its work schedule, combining virtual and face-to-face modality. This year, the work of the Municipal Council for Childhood and Adolescence of Cartagena has been to work on the proposals that were raised in the Municipal Plenary held on November 21, Children's Rights Day, on the theme of 'Vulnerability and Harassment '. In this last meeting of the Council before the Christmas holiday period, the group has valued its participation in the Municipal Plenary, this year with a totally different format from previous years, since it was carried out virtually, connecting with the educational centers of the city.

There was also a Christmas dynamic aimed at reflecting on how diversity is also present in the celebration of Christmas in different parts of the world.

Finally, some wishes were made for the new year aimed at all children and adolescents. The Municipal Council for Children and Adolescents of Cartagena will resume its work agenda in January 2021, selecting the topic that will focus its work in the new year. CHILDHOOD AND ADOLESCENCE COUNCIL The Council is a body created in Cartagena within the UNICEF program “Child Friendly Cities”, a seal that our municipality holds.

The group is made up of boys, girls and adolescents, who represent the city's childhood and adolescence, and work so that their vision and contributions are taken into account in municipal policies.
