The president of Navantia, Bel n Gualda, visited the Cartagena shipyard this Wednesday where, in addition to taking a tour of the facilities, she has met with those responsible for the different directorates, as well as with the respective company committees. The visit began at the Cartagena shipyard, where he had the opportunity to see how the construction work on the S80 submarines for the Spanish Navy, one of the most conventional submersible vessels, is being carried out.

The world's advanced companies and a fundamental program for the development of Navantia's Strategic Plan, which has meant a boost to the national industry and job creation.

The forecast is that the first of these submarines will be launched in the spring.

At the same time, this shipyard is working on extending the life cycle of the S-71 submarine. The president of Navantia has also visited the Motores facilities, where the propulsion for all the ships built in Navantia is manufactured.

Currently, the construction of the thrusters for the last corvette for Arabia is being finalized; The engineering of the diesel generators of the F-110 has begun and the maintenance contract for the engines of the Spanish Navy ships is maintained.

In addition, within the work of Engines in the civil field, maintenance of the emergency engines of the Trillo nuclear power plant is also carried out. Bel n Gualda has subsequently traveled to the Reparaciones y Sistemas facilities, where he has been able to observe the work that is being carried out in each of these areas.

At the moment, they are working with two yachts and the Turia mine hunter, whose execution order was recently signed, in addition to carrying out maintenance work on different Navy ships.

For next year, the repair of a yacht and the grounding of Navy ships have already been completed.

After this work area, the president visited the new engineering facilities and the Virtual Design Center. Previously, Bel n Gualda has met with the company committees, to which he has conveyed his commitment to the continuity of the Company's Strategic Plan and its basic axes, with the aim of guaranteeing the future of Navantia, as a profitable and sustainable company, and with human capital as its main asset.
