The board of directors of Lhicarsa has approved this Friday, December 11, the accounts corresponding to the year 2019, after the company has taken the measures established by the Cartagena City Council to correct the irregularities detected in the service inspections. The accounts were removed from the agenda at the meeting last June, after the representatives of the City Council on the Board of Directors expressed their reservations about the document until the work of the document was completed.
municipal officials. The accounts reflect a turnover during 2019 of 33 million euros, of which the majority, 18 million, was allocated to personnel expenses -salaries and social security- and slightly more than a million euros in machinery maintenance and repair. The board has realized, in addition to that Lhicarsa has provisioned 4.8 million euros in anticipation of future closure and restoration costs for the landfill that is currently in use.
In addition, it has been realized that the financial debt of the company has been below 4%, with € 1,300,000 of bank debt. The last board of directors was held while the municipal investigation was in progress, which led to the withdrawal of the accounts and led to the opening of a file in July, which was resolved in October with the decision of the Governing Board to give the company fifteen days to comply with corrective measures.
The requirements, including the replacement of the managers, demanded the adoption of measures that would guarantee immediate cessation of the use of the Lhicarsa facilities for activities outside the provision of the municipal service.
