On the occasion of the XLII Anniversary of the 1978 Constitution and in defense of the Transition, the Crown and Democracy, this Sunday, December 6, the Heroes de Cavite Cultural Association wants to value our Constitution as a model of coexistence, the constitution is a project of a country that we have been building together since 1978 and of which we can be proud. Despite the time that has elapsed, the Constitution must continue to be a meeting place in which we Spaniards can develop our lives in peace, having the same rights and duties. Faced with those who question the pillars of the constitutional system born in the Transition, including the concept of the Spanish nation, the flag or the Head of State must be united and firm, because all these principles can be lost, not because some attack it, but For those who identifying with them we do not defend them, from the comfort of those who take those rights for granted, and that is a mistake, we must always defend our values.
It is a pity that they make us waste our time with unnecessary reforms or with the right to decide when today there are people who are starving in Spain. The attacks, far from weakening the Magna Carta, should make it an example of how it is possible to unite disparate political parties for the construction of a successful economic and social model, in which we all fit. As a Hispanicist and historical dissemination association we would like to mention article number 1 of the Constitution of Cádiz of 1812, "The Spanish Nation is the meeting of all Spaniards from both hemispheres", today that "meeting" is cultural, Spanish is the second language in world speakers. Finally, thank Cartagena for the Charity and its President Matías Barco Cabrera who have wanted to share this beautiful initiative with us.
