| This is the first resolution sent by the central government and will involve the grant of a maximum of 50% of the total amount of each work | The Ministry of Territorial Policy and Public Function has sent the Cartagena City Council the first resolution that, under article 9 of Royal Decree 11/2019, grants a subsidy of 943,139.29 euros to finance up to 50% of the amount of 21 of the projects presented by the City Council to the DANA aid fund.Among the works that will benefit from this state funding, the stabilization of the slopes of Gisbert Street stands out with an amount of 243,390 euros; the replacement of public lighting in Los Nietos, Los Urrutias, Estrella de Mar and Mar de Cristal, with 137,924.54 euros; the repair of the sanitary slab of the Cartagonova municipal stadium, with 348,961.77 euros; the reform and improvement of the entrances to the Victoria Cave, with 42,401.05 euros.The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, explained that “this grant will help us to solve, at least in part, many of the damage caused in our municipality by the torrential rains in September and December 2019.
