| The president of the APC, Yolanda Muñoz, highlights that the action will guarantee better infrastructures for the Civil Guard personnel assigned to security work in the port | The remodeling and improvement works of the Civil Guard facilities at the Santa Lucía dock are progressing at a good pace, according to the president of the Port Authority, Yolanda Muñoz, where she has been accompanied by the responsible technicians and the lieutenant of the Civil Guard, Gines María Rodríguez. Muñoz has said that "with this action we want to guarantee the best port infrastructures and the best conditions for the Civil Guard personnel assigned to security work in the Port." For this, "it was necessary to adapt the facilities to accommodate the increase in Civil Guard personnel and to carry out improvement works to solve the deficiencies caused by the age of the building." The works, which have been awarded for 555,000 euros and have an execution period of 4 months, will involve solving the problems of humidity and leaks and a remodeling to increase the number of offices, and improvements in the archive, warehouse, changing rooms and toilets. The contracting of the works was approved by the Presidency of this Port Authority in January 2020 for an amount of € 590,746.78 including VAT.
In July 2020, the works were contracted with the company "Tecnología de la Construcción y Obras Públicas, SA" for an amount of € 554,593.08, VAT included.
