| The mayor has reminded the president of the situation in La Manga and has asked that it be considered a territorial unit | The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, like the rest of the mayors of the Region, this afternoon held a coordination meeting with the president of the Autonomous Community, Fernando López Miras, in which it was agreed to make the imposed restrictions more flexible by health authorities in some municipalities where the incidence of coronavirus has decreased. In this way, they have decided that as of this Saturday, November 21, the terraces in the hospitality establishments of the municipality of Cartagena will be able to reopen, as the first municipal councilor has requested: "In our municipality, the incidence is much lower than in others and we see it fair that the measures are made more flexible so that bars and restaurants can reopen their terraces even with restrictions, since the hospitality sector needs it.During the meeting, both the president and the Minister of Health, Manuel Villegas have transferred that the terraces of bars and restaurants in the municipality will be reopened with a 75% capacity while it will not be possible to provide service inside the establishments until the ICU admissions are not reduced enough.Castejón has also added that “it is very important that we continue to comply with the individual measures and that we continue to set an example as a municipality since otherwise, the measures will be hardened again.
We have to be clear that health is the priority and is in our hands ”.It should be noted that one of the regulations that will continue to be maintained is the restriction of movement between municipalities, which will remain in force until December 9, as well as the restriction of mobility at night (from 11:00 p.m.
to 6:00 a.m.).Every week the situation will be evaluated, taking into account the epidemiological data of the last 14 days, and the measures in each of the municipalities will be hardened or made more flexible depending on the evolution of the incidence in each one of them.On the other hand, the mayor has reminded the president of the Autonomous Community of the situation of La Manga and the need for it to be considered the only territory.
"It is a necessity that La Manga be considered as the only territory in this situation and I have requested it to the president," said the first mayor.
