| The Confederation urges to work now on the urgent launch of the ZAL and the arrival of the Mediterranean Corridor | After observing the news published on the crossing of statements of the main political parties, PP and PSOE, in relation to the necessary and demanded infrastructures claimed by the businessmen of the Campo de Cartagena Region and the Murcia Region, - ZAL and Corredor Mediterráneo-, the Regional Confederation of Business Organizations of Cartagena urges you to work on the urgent start-up of the Los Camachos Logistics Activities Zone and the arrival of the Mediterranean Corridor to the Port of Cartagena. For this reason, the president of COEC, Ana Correa, has claimed that the Government of Spain "fulfill the commitments assumed by Minister Ábalos in the Mediterranean Corridor conference held in Valencia last Thursday, November 12, where the date was set for the completion of this infrastructure in 2025, taking advantage of the European Funds that will arrive as a result of COVID-19 ". Similarly, Correa explained that "since the Minister has already announced the completion of the Mediterranean Corridor in 2025, it is urgent to start the Los Camachos ZAL, as well as to start the entire administrative procedure, the purchase of the land and its urbanization, to accompany the making of the land available to interested entrepreneurs, with the arrival of the Mediterranean Corridor ". The Confederation considers it essential that the Government of Spain -including ADIF, Puertos del Estado and Sepes- and that of the Region of Murcia, work in a joint and coordinated manner, launching the railway variant that connects the ZAL with the Corridor and the port facilities. For this reason, the COEC demands from the different Administrations that they comply with the commitments, and also send as soon as possible a schedule of the different actions to be carried out with planned execution dates.
