As every year, the Municipal Council for Childhood and Adolescence of Cartagena prepares participation in the events scheduled for that day, such as the plenary session of the Council, which will be held at 12 noon by videoconference from the Plenary Hall of the Palace Consistorial, and will be chaired by the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón.Due to the health situation, on this occasion the Council has met virtually.
In this workspace, everything related to participation in Children's Rights Day has been closed and several dynamics have been carried out on this commemoration: "Guess what right it is" and "Pass word on rights", since It is vitally important that children and adolescents know their rights and actively participate in ensuring that they are respected.The Municipal Council for Children and Adolescents of Cartagena is a participatory body that works to ensure that the opinions, proposals and contributions of children and adolescents are taken into account in municipal policies, thus exercising their right to participation.The Council is included within the UNICEF Child Friendly Cities Program, of which the Cartagena City Council is a part, the city being identified with the seal of “Child Friendly City”.
