On November 4, the Extraordinary General Assembly of the MHC took place in which the candidates for the new board of directors and a single candidate for the presidency of the Association were presented, since the statutes require that the position of president must be elected directly by the Assembly itself.

The other positions are established at the first meeting of the new board of directors.

Consequently, after the first meeting of the new board of directors on the 12th, the final composition has been as follows:President : Bernardo Sánchez Muñoz.Vice-president : Josefina Pérez García.Secretary : Aniceto Herrero López.Treasurer : Ginés Tobal Pagán.Vowels : Piluca Sánchez Soriano.Ángeles Martínez Sánchez.Alfonso Sánchez Ródenas.Francisco Carrión Muñoz.M.

Pilar Navarro Pistón.Lucia Soler Alburquerque.Lucía González Fructuoso.This team will be accompanied in its activity by working groups, which in the first meeting were established as follows (we put only the first person in charge to simplify)Presidency and Representation : Bernardo.Administration and management: Aniceto.Informatics: without responsibility but with the commitment of two colleagues from specific actions.Treasury, purchases and sales, infrastructures: Ginés.Culture: Josefina.Relations with groups: Paco.Processing of files and summaries: Piluca.Relations with HEIs: Alfonso.The general lines of action will be a continuation of the one followed by the previous board of directors, but mainly taking into account:The revitalization of the prison platform is not sold, as a priority and urgent.Working with HEIs (talks, courses for teachers, making videos, etc.).The dignity of Cartagena (compliance with the Historical Memory Law and plenary commitments of the Municipal Corporation).Training and general information (talks, book presentations, exhibitions, April 14, etc.)The presence in social media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.).The presence in the Regional Federation and State Coordinator of Memorial Associations.The knowledge of our city from a memorialistic point of view.The qualification as places of Historical Memory in buildings and spaces of historical significance.At the end of the Assembly and at the farewell of our previous president, Pepa Martínez, there was a deserved recognition for her extraordinary work, thanking her for all these years of dedication to the Association, the fruits of which are known to all.

However, Pepa will not let us, she will continue working to the best of her ability, which are many, in data work, making videos, books and, surely, much more.
