| Within a month, the municipality of Cartagena will have 42 new positions to serve students and opponents | The Department of Education of the City of Cartagena has already contracted the works to remodel the spaces in which the two new municipal study rooms of La Palma and Molinos Margafones will soon be located.The works have been contracted for 60,036.50 euros, of which 32,697.59 euros will be allocated to the remodeling of the space located in the social premises of Molinos Marfagones and 27,338.91 euros to the classroom on La Palma.The mayor of Education, Irene Ruiz, recalled that "with these two new spaces there are now five study rooms that make up the municipal network to serve students and opponents, since in the last legislature those of El Albujón were opened, El Algar and Pozo Estrecho.
We are placing special emphasis on our county councils because they are the ones with the most deficiencies in this type of service, but our intention is to continue expanding the network of study rooms throughout the municipality ”.The La Palma classroom will have 24 study places and the Molinos Mafagones classroom with 18, and both will remain open 24 hours a day and will be controlled by a 24-hour video surveillance system.
As in the three existing classrooms, citizens will be able to access using a user card and both spaces will be connected to the municipal Wi-Fi network.The councilor explained that the work in both the La Palma classroom and the Molinos Marfagones classroom began this week, and that both have an execution period of one month.
