| The pontoons are dismantled due to the end of the Costas authorization and next year they will occupy 5 new points | Los Nietos beach will be one of those that will have the next season of the catwalks that until this week have facilitated bathing in Los Urrutias and Punta Brava, as confirmed this morning by the vice mayor to the president of the neighborhood association, Nani Vergara .
The five piers are being dismantled this week, coinciding with the end of the authorization granted by Costas, which, as reported, managed to last until mid-November.The footbridges have temporarily occupied the places where the Ministry of the Environment is going to build the committed spas before the end of the year.
"A specialized consulting firm is already working on determining the exact points where the City Council will locate the pontoons during the next bathing season," as reported by Arroyo.
The company carries out the necessary studies to guarantee safety for bathers and respect for the natural environment. The president of the residents of Los Nietos has expressed her interest in "having the walkways next year to improve the conditions of access to the bathroom on a beach that continues to suffer from the presence of mud." In this sense, the deputy mayor recalled that the City Council is waiting for the Ministry of Ecological Transition, which a year ago promised to eliminate sludge and dry land, communicate in writing if it has ruled out doing so, as it seems to be deduced from recent demonstrations of the Secretary of State for the Environment. The walkways will be stored and relocated next year by the company that built them.
According to the deputy mayor, "they are not only structures that facilitate bathing, but also provide tourist attraction to the places where they are installed and improve accessibility for people with reduced mobility."
